With all the effort “kids these days” are putting into stancing their cars (lowering on coil-overs, stretching too-small tires over too-wide wheels, and more), you’d think some would have figured out stance happens – nature is already doing the job for them. Cars with unusual suspensions like the Mercedes 300SEL 6.3, Citroen DS, and the ADO16 British Leyland products all have suspensions that, after 40-50 years, are prone to failure. This sets them down on their bump stops, giving them that cat-dragging-its-belly-on-the-ground look. Were they to pick up one of these cars, all they’d need to add is some wide tires on small diameter, deep-dish wheels with crazy camber and presto! For a halfway-done stance project, check out this 1967 MG 1100 for sale for $1500 in Lancaster, CA.

August 26, 2014MalaiseGB – 1979 MGB Limited Edition
July 30, 2014Rubber bumper MGBs have long been disparaged by enthusiasts, but thanks to attrition driving supply down and prices up, people are starting to recognize these for what they are – while they were burdened by the weight of safety equipment, and the performance reductions of emissions equipment, they are still simple, reliable drivers that can better withstand the beatings of a daily driver life. The latest years also benefit from improvements and refinements that make them quite capable, and if you’re unhappy with them in stock form, you can retrofit chrome bumpers to start, and also remove the smog equipment if you’re not subject to testing. Just Nice – 1972 MGB
July 18, 2014Sometimes a car comes up where the combination of photography, the car itself, the description, and more all beckon at you. “Look at me,” they say, “I’m beautiful, I run great, and you’ll have fun driving me home. Rescue me from my distant driveway and bring me back with you.” It doesn’t even have to be a car you’ve been searching for, or one that’s at the top of your list – in fact, it’s a more pleasant surprise when you weren’t expecting it. This morning, we have a car like that – check out this 1972 MGB for sale for $4000 in Bremerton, WA.
