Two Point Two Senior vs. Junior – Dodge Shelby Charger and Dodge Spirit R/T

October 19, 2016

Roll back to 1983 if you will. You’re young, graduated from school and have been working for a couple of years. You’re all done with the used ’69 Nova you got when you were a senior, and you’re looking for something better in which to rock those aviators and Reynolds/Selleck-stache. Memories of the lines for gas are still fresh in your mind, so a V8 Mustang or Camaro is out, and while you like the European styling on the recently restyled Scirocco, the new Isuzu Impulse, and the Renault Fuego, their dealer networks mean you’d have to drive an hour just for service. Fortunately, you’re not out of luck for a sports coupe with modern style – check out this 1983 Dodge Shelby Charger for sale 33 years later for $3999 in Bellevue, WA. Thanks to reader Steve D. for this submission.

Double Vision – 1976 BMW 2002 Automatic and Parts Car

September 12, 2016

Among lovers of BMW’s 2002, the 1976 model year, fitted with the automatic transmission, is something like the V12 E-Type coupe with automatic is among Jaguar enthusiasts. You can still see the original vision somewhere in the car, but like fat Elvis, it’s lost its direction and edge, its vision blurred by emissions controls and safety regulations instead of drugs and food. But with the 2002 moving ever more firmly into collector territory, it’s time to give even this rendition a second chance. Let’s take a look at this 1976 BMW 2002 Automatic for sale for $2000 in Hayward/Castro Valley, CA.

Nice Upgrades – 1987 Audi 4000 Quattro

July 15, 2016

Do you fall into the category of people known as “anyone”? Or are you someone, or everyone? Because if you’re “anyone”, move along, buddy, this car’s not available to you. There are many online listings with sellers who try to limit who they will sell their car to, but unless the purchase decision is based on impulse, someone who falls in love with their expectation of what the car will be would be hard to eliminate. And if they’re truly intent on gutting the car for parts for their own project, they can make something up to soothe the worried seller. That said, it’s understandable why a seller would be concerned about the fate of a car they like – check out this 1987 Audi 4000 Quattro for sale for $4000 in Milwaukie, OR.
