It seems fairly common practice in Britain to subsidize the running costs of a classic car through hiring it out for weddings and other special events. And as long as your car is reasonably reliable, and your passengers are not too intoxicated from their party, there are certainly worse things than driving around in your classic car all day. While the regulations surrounding transportation of passengers until recently seemed to prevent this practice for all but established limousine companies, that may be changing with the advent of services like Uber and Lyft. July 1, 2014As with many other older sports cars, MGBs have moved from being a 15-20 year old used car to a classic sports car. With that usually comes an attendant price increase, and it’s no different for the MGB. Check out this 1969 MGB for sale for $3600 in Fremont, CA.
Not Tail-less – 1965 Jeffries Mantaray II Kyote
July 1, 2014While many car enthusiasts are familiar with the concept of VW-based dune buggies of the 1960s and 1970s, and many might even know the Meyers Manx for its bug-eyed headlamps and krazy kandy colors, what is not immediately clear is the extent to which this industry boomed. However, one visit to the Dune Buggy Archives will clear that right up, and the difficulty of identifying these machines is highlighted by the fact that they have a searchable database in which they’ve assigned design attributes to the various cars, which you can use to identify yours. And that’s how to determine that the car identified as a 1965 VW dune buggy is actually likely to be a Jeffries Mantaray II Kyote, for sale for $3799 in Sacramento, CA.
