Apparently, there are some people who tend to accumulate multiples. Not multiple cars, but several of the same brand, type, and model, as with today’s seller, who has an epic 5 BMW E12 sedans for sale. These cars are arguably equally significant to the 2002 for BMW – even if they haven’t achieved the cult classic popularity of their older brother, they paved the way for BMW’s basic 3-tiered model strategy that carries through to today. A Grand Each – E12 BMW 528i Collection
September 18, 2014Why Is This Still Listed – 1972 Honda AZ600
September 18, 2014The Honda 600 has long been the alternative to the wildly popular Mini, together with cars like the Hillman/Sunbeam Imp and Fiat 500. It’s also fairly significant for Honda – while the first generation Civic and Accord were probably their equivalent of BMW’s 2002 break-out hit, this was their first serious foray for a mainstream audience, much like the Neue Klasse sedans were for BMW. Really though, the Honda AZ600, as the sporting, cut-down version of the standard AN600, was probably closer to, say, a Mini Marcos. Either way, it was probably the lowest-priced car in America to have a tachometer, much less one that went up to a 6000rpm redline. Check out this 1972 Honda AZ600 for sale for $2900 in Sparks, NV.
Type 44 Dream – 1987 Audi 5000 Turbo Quattro
September 17, 2014The Audi 5000 Type 44 was a significant car in automotive history, and rightfully recognized as such in the press, but due to their utility, you don’t often see surviving examples on the road. And if you do, they’re often gold front-wheel drive automatic examples that make for a less-than-exciting driving experience, or high-mileage, enthusiast-owned cars that will require significant maintenance. Today’s car has enough pluses to get an Audi enthusiast’s knees quivering – check out this 1987 Audi 5000 Turbo Quattro for sale for $1900 in Reno, NV.
