There’s not much out there if you’re a row-your-own kind of driver who needs to have a van to accommodate family, furniture, or other bulky items. If you narrow it even further to a vehicle you can sleep and eat in fairly comfortably, there’s not much left, particularly in the modern car segment. So it’s nice to find a VW Eurovan with manual transmission. These early Eurovans didn’t have the VR6 of the late 90s to early 00s vans; instead, they featured a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder, ostensibly to make up for the power deficit of Vanagons and Type 3 buses. Unfortunately, they were not outrageously successful, and the manuals are pretty thin on the ground. Of course, you can trust San Francisco to have any oddball for sale, so check out this 1993 VW Eurovan for sale for $3500 in San Francisco, CA.

January 7, 2015Tree Hugger – 1956 Lincoln Premiere
January 4, 2015There’s something fascinating about American cars when they were at their postwar peak – they’re a pure expression of how we were doing economically, and where our design sense was pointed, but some of the top models were also built with pretty amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail. One of those is the Lincoln Premiere – a large hardtop 2-door powered by a massive engine, and with heaps of chrome. Check out this 1956 Lincoln Premiere for sale for $3700 in Brentwood, CA.
Oldest Yet – 1922 Ford Model T Pickup
January 2, 2015Generally, the cars featured here are from the 1960s-1980s era. But it’s good to mix it up every so often – not only in terms of how weird the featured cars are, but also in terms of age. And frankly, the Model T meets both criteria – between its extraordinarily long production lifespan, this car’s 92-year age, and the unconventional 3-pedal system controlling the gears. Though incredibly common, it was also a very innovative car, famously for its production methods and less-famously for its versatility as a car and multi-purpose tool.
