Number 300 – 1979 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT

November 12, 2013

Today we’re reaching a minor milestone with our 300th post. And to celebrate, it seemed most appropriate to find something that is represented in the RustyButTrusty fleet. Alfa Romeo Alfettas are few and far between, particularly on the road, so it’s always interesting to see others available. Mostly, these are west coast cars, but in this case someone in New Jersey was actually able to keep the rust worm from doing too much damage to the body. So if you’re in the Northeast, this may be a worth candidate for a fix-in-winter, drive-next-summer car. You can find today’s 1979 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT for sale in Orange, NJ for a mere $1300.

Flares & Chairs – 1986 Mitsubishi Starion Turbo

November 12, 2013

For those of you who are feeling left behind by the collector car bubble that’s driven the value of some muscle cars, Porsches, Ferraris and more to unattainable heights, the opportunities are still out there if you have time. Even some 1980s cars have started taking off as people are looking for a seat before the music stops, but if you’re willing to buy and hold (and drive, of course, that’s the whole point!), the Starion/Conquest cars are a great bet. You can find this 1986 Mitsubishi Starion Turbo for sale in the San Fernando Valley, CA for a mere $2750.

Auntie – 1956 Rover P4 75

November 11, 2013

Sometimes, there are so many neat old cars out there, one escapes by the time its turn comes up. While that’s a great sign for what’s out there for us old car nuts, it means that the listing for the car has already expired. In spite of that, the owner shared his contact info, so should you be interested, please use the contact form on this site to request his phone number. That said, this was listed for sale for about $3000 in Los Angeles, CA.
