$499 for Eight Speeds – 1984 Dodge Colt DL

June 28, 2015

There’s something really satisfying about buying a whole car – something for which someone once probably took a loan, and on which they made payments – for the price of something like, say, a domestic airfare or a TV. Yet if you set your expectations correctly, you can definitely do this, and if you’re lucky, you can even find something less bland than your neighbor’s old ’87 Tercel EZ with 234,000 miles. Of course, it may just be that the thing making the car less bland is just a gimmick, but hey, when you’re dealing with 3-digit prices you’ll get your money’s worth after only a few weeks! Check out this 1984 Dodge Colt DL for sale for $499 in Port Orchard, WA.

Dats Dad – 1959 Datsun 1000

June 18, 2015

With classic Japanese cars starting to have their moment in the spotlight, more early Japanese cars are emerging from their hidey holes for people who see their potential to bring them back. Now, instead of suffering under the label of tinny, poor quality excuses for transportation, they’re seen with a nostalgic eye (even if it’s not so likely the people who originally had them would be nostalgic for them). Is this because people who can’t afford admission to (or don’t like) the European and American classic car scenes are looking for an alternative, or because people who already are into Japanese cars are looking back for some sense of where their Civics and 370Zs came from? Either way, you should probably start hoarding Hyundai Excels and the rare Mitsubishi Precis derivative in anticipation of a similar thing happening for Korean car fans. Check out this 1959 Datsun 1000 for sale for $2000 in Fair Oaks, CA.

B210 SE-R – 1974 Datsun B210

June 17, 2015

If someone asked you about Japanese economy cars that are inexpensive and popular for modifications, what would you name? The Civic, Celica, or 510? Well, you’re mistaken, old chum, because you can add another Datsun to that list – the B210. Wait, what? The Japanese car with the awkward design, gutless engine, and best known for its odd Honey Bee edition? Well, at the root of it all is a light car with rear wheel drive and a modifiable engine, so how bad could it be? Find out by checking out this 1974 Datsun B210 for sale for $3000 in La Center, WA.
