Stripper Model – 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood 75

Sometimes, the perfect car is for sale in the perfect venue. And you all know the old real estate chestnut (location, location, location) – maybe it applies to cars too. That would have you buying your Alfa in North Beach or the North End (Italian quarters of San Francisco and Boston, respectively), your BMW in Leavenworth, WA (pseudo-Alpine town), and your Cadillac limousine from the side lot adjacent to a strip club. Wait, what? Check out this 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 for sale for $4000 at the Reflections Bar in beautiful Fairbanks, AK.

Not much detail is given on the condition of the car, aside from its present non-running status, and that it was last driven around 14 years ago. From this angle, the car looks to be nearly complete, barring a rear corner window, and aside from a rusty patch on the hood and some surface rust on the chrome, might actually shine up quite nicely. And since they don’t use road salt in Alaska, you can at least eliminate that from your list of concerns – while any 56-year-old car is bound to have some rust, it won’t be as nasty as in a salt-using state. This particular car is a limousine version, and should have around 300hp from its V8 – enough to give the car some thrust, but not enough to make it win any races. So what would you do with your $4K – drop it on a lifelong lap dance subscription, or buy this imposing classic that’s the 1950s equivalent of any pre-war limousine?
